The Julie Mayer Collection is more than just beautiful handcrafted jewelry and accessories. Julie Mayer has always held a large place in her heart for giving back to others and her community, especially special needs youth.
The Mayer Family has been blessed with two children who suffer from Fanconi Syndrome. This is a rare kidney disease that causes both mental and physical disabilities. The doctors gave the heartbreaking news that both of them would never walk, talk or be of normal size or ability and from then on, their lives were changed. With the help of the entire family, oldest daughter, Lindley Mayer created a non profit organization called Lindley's Alliance for Disabled Youth and has been able to raise almost $200,000 for organizations that support Special Needs Youth.
The Julie Mayer Collection gives a portion of her proceeds back to this non profit to continue to make a difference. Today, her children run, play and light up the lives of everyone they meet. By supporting the Julie Mayer Collection, you are directly supporting the CHILDREN. Another cause very close to Julie's heart is Breast Cancer Awareness. She participates in events each year including Pearls and Pumps and the All In Ball (Dabo Swinney Foundation) to raise funds to prevent Breast Cancer. The THINK Pink Tiger Jacket was designed with many women who have inspired us each and every day. It was designed to be a sign of empowerment and strength and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Breast Cancer Awareness Organizations.
